Fourth of July Update from Montana

Friends of FFP.

It was a “Nat Geo” type day in Livingston MT on July 4th fishing tiny dry flies with Charlie Conn on Armstrong Spring Creek.  The fish were selective but catchable in the brilliant sunshine, sipping size # 20 midges throughout the day.  The largest fish pushed the tape at just over 19 inches and took me on a mad chase down river about 100 yards.

The summer weather pattern is now locked in and the rivers are clear of the mountain runoff.  Plan your trips!
