35 people attended the “soft opening” of our Fly Fishing Portraits Gallery last Wednesday in Bozeman.
In addition to the socializing, everyone had a chance to vote on their favorite pictures.
Photos receiving the most votes:
- The top 3 Scenic shots were Ben Pierce’s photo from Devils Glenn, my picture of Trevor Covich Spey casting on the Hoh river and Charlie Conn’s photo of the Praying Mantis in the Amazon (attached).
- The top three fish portraits were of the underwater brown trout from YNP, the Grayling from AK and the Brown trout close up (attached).
The dominant feedback from the event was about how incredible the photos looked within the acrylic framing system from Alumna Designs. Since there is actually no frame to distract the viewer, the pictures almost come to life while suspended inside the optically clear acrylic panels..
We will keep in touch regarding other gallery showings beginning in July. Our FFP website will have thumbnail pictures of all the photos currently displayed in the gallery soon.
If you are interested in purchasing any of the pictures, feel free to give me a call at 406-581-9873.
